IntoJobs has helped small family business 47 Gyprock in Adelaide boost its workforce with not one but two new team members.
Clifford Morgan and Caden Evans gained full-time employment at the plastering business in November after they worked with the IntoJobs Murray Bridge team to get job ready, then went on to impress at their interview for the plastering roles.
Clifford managed multiple barriers including an Acquired Brain Injury, engagement with the legal system and was unemployed for over 12 months before coming to IntoJobs. Caden also faced long-term unemployment, on the hunt for a job for just over 12 months.
Mobile Employment Consultant Penny Haynes helped both participants get job-ready by providing uniform funding and fuel vouchers, giving them time to establish a steady income.
47 Gyprock owner Gary Newell said IntoJobs provided much needed assistance in finding new additions to his rapidly expanding team; “Recently we needed to grow our company and reached out to many job providers over Adelaide, but by far we had the best luck with IntoJobs Murray Bridge,” Mr Newell said.
“IntoJobs were able to provide us with a good list of candidates and did not give up. We decided to hire two of the applicants for immediate starts. While Caden and Clifford have only recently started with us, we see potential in the both of them.”
Mr Newell said Clifford and Caden are punctual and eager employees they are happy to have on board.
“Clifford is picking the job up very quickly and thrives in a Gyprocking environment. Caden has been working one-on-one with one of our experienced crew members to master certain aspects of the job,” he said.
“Penny, their case worker, has been exceptional in keeping tabs on their happiness and their health so far and has even come out to two Adelaide locations to visit the boys on site and check in on them. She assures us she will be there to support the boys in the coming months and plans to visit them again on site in the future.
“We can’t thank IntoJobs enough for their help in finding us two new additions to our team.”
